“The Morganite Sceptre” handmade Mandala Wall Art hanging features 11 raw Morganite gemstones and 11 mandalas with 20 brass pieces from Ghana. All this on a bedding of silk and cotton yarns entwined with copper wire. I bought the yarn when I was in Bangkok, I think I went, well I know I went batty in the poor man’s shop, he was quite stunned by my reaction hahahahaha!
The beautiful yarn is recycled from saris and is a deep red, kinda like wine-colored with various colors in the mix. This is one of those pieces that I saw in my mind’s eye, but boyyyyyy getting it into the physical was a challenge indeed! The top ‘handle’ is truly non-conventional–I love creating things that are off-center and off the beaten trail!! All-n-all, this work reminds me of a scepter, a type of adornment on the top of a king’s staff. For me, this piece is a symbol of Sovereignty of Self. And MORGANITE? Ohhhhhmygosh, just DELICIOUS!
Morganite looks a lot like Rose Quartz and is also a Heart-based crystal. Keywords are Compassion and Divine Love. Connects with the Universal Heart Frequency. Morganite is a Water Element stone (soothing, calming, cleansing) Heart/4th chakra. The raw gemstone comes out of Nigeria, Africa.
Morganite is a very unique and a not so common gemstone. The brass beads are used and of various ages–some can be quite old. And as such, they are in different stages in terms of wear plus there are no two alike! I have quite an affinity for these beads! Enjoy!
