"The Royal Mandala of Lapis Lazuli" Mandala Wall Art features 5 beautiful Lapis Lazuli gemstones. Human usage and knowledge of Lapis Lazuli dates back to 3100 B.C. in ancient Egypt--the sarcophagus of King Tutankhamen was inlaid with Lapis as well as some burial ornaments contained in the sarcophagi of other Kings and Queens. I saw it inlaid in the walls of the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. Just spectacular.

This Mandala Wall Art is made with a vibrant purple colored linen yarn (from the flax plant) and copper wire. Copper is an Energy Conductor and said to be great for our health. It also has a bronze piece from Ghana as well as a piece at the top referred to as a Tuareg Cross made by the Tuareg people of The Sahara Desert, a nomadic peoples of Northern and Western Africa. These pieces are largely silver but I've also read they could be of iron and copper. This particular one is worn and could be very old. They are passed down from father to son and serve as a talisman.
There is a top hook in which to mount The Royal Mandala of Lapis Lazuli which I created to imbue your home with good vibes. You can use this not only to decorate your home but also as a meditation tool by gazing at the central entwining of copper adorning the Lapis and taking deep conscious breaths to still your mind
Or you can use this as a dreamcatcher placed in a window and watch the light dance through.
This was a joy to create! The Royal Mandala of Lapis Lazuli brings together a blend of methods--weaving, embroidery, crochet and sewing.
