Hail To The Pink!
Pink and green are the colors of the Heart or 4th Chakra, the mighty center of our bodies. Possible signs of imbalance in this chakra could be difficulty in relationships, [including the one you have with YourSelf] lack of discipline, repressed feelings, jealousy, anger, suffocating others, and depending on someone other than YourSelf to make you happy. There are also physical ailments which are attributed to a blocked 4th chakra that I won't go into here cause I'm gonna riff on the Spiritual and Emotional vibes of the pink Heart stones.
First up is Rhodonite, which can range from rose to red to brownish hues and they include manganese oxide which make the black markings. Found in Sweden, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, India, Canada, Madagascar, [I SOOOOO want to go there and come back with a suitcase FULL of gemstones--I would lose my MIND!] and the U.S. among other countries. According to The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall, Rhodonite is is an excellent healer and can relieve insect bites. Anyone test that one out? Would be curious to hear first hand experience with that tip. Anywho, Rhodonite promotes the Love Energy, said to help you use recovered gifts in your Life. I'm not talking about that ring you got one Christmas and lost but Soul Gifts that can benefit Community. Keywords are Love, Generosity, Compassion, Altruism and Discovering/Developing Hidden Talents. Those are Soul Gifts. I love this phrase by Robert Simmons of The Book of Stones "this is Rhodonite's gift--to bring more love into the world by acting as a catalyst for the fulfillment of one's life purpose, through the expression of one's hidden gifts."
Got some hidden gifts you're sitting on?
Kunzite is the pink-violet version of Spodumene and is a Lithium-based gemstone--great to chill ya out and soothe stressed nerves Found in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Brazil, the U.S. and that place I've GOT ta go to again--Madagascar. Keywords are Divine Love, Emotional Healing and Activation of the Heart's Knowing. Said to awaken the Heart Center and Unconditional Love, radiating Peace. Naisha Ahsian, co-author of The Book of Stones [cool name ain't it? Her last name is the reverse of the first] says this about fiercely wonderful Kunzite: "the beautiful energy of Kunzite teachers us the value of joy and celebration Joy is the ability to open your heart and truly receive the Love of the Divine Source, what ever form this Love may take at any given time. Sometimes the Love of the Divine will appear as a gift in physical form. At other times it will come as a deep and certain knowing in your heart that you are never alone and always loved. The Love of the divine manifests in every moment and in everything, for this is the energy underlying all of creation. Resistance to it is the basis of every disease, imbalance or problem known to humanity."
Rhodochrosite [that's a mouthful, isn't it?] is found in Argentina, South Africa--another place I want to go gemstone shopping], Uruguay, Russia and the U.S. Many stones are pink to red but can also be orange, brown or yellowish. Keywords are Self-Love, Compassion, Emotional Healing and like Rhodonite, Recovery of Forgotten Gifts and Lost Memories. Again, quoting the lady with the cool name, Naisha Ahsian: "Rhodochrosite is a powerful heart healer, forming a bridge between the lower chakras of Fire and the upper chakras of Water. Because of its relationship to both elements, it has the capacity to cool emotional heat and provide insight into issues of the heart and will. The vibration of Rhodochrosite aids in healing emotional wounds. Its frequencies resonate with the child within, allowing one to recover one's sense of playfulness and joy in life. Through its healing energies we are enabled to reclaim innate talents and abilities that have been left behind because of past traumas or emotional wounds."
The very familiar Rose Quartz is found in Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa, India and the U.S. Called The Stone of Unconditional Love and Infinite Peace, I know 1st hand it can chill ya right on out! This crystal is no joke, ranging from very pale to deep reddish pink and Naisha says, "Rose Quartz is one of the most important stones of our time."
I recommend this stone sooooooo often, it's even a beast on hot flashes!!! Yes ladies, hot flashes! Not only do I know this first hand, but I applied one of my rose quartz rings to two ladies & it helped them very quickly!
I usually always have a Rose Quartz handmade ring in my SilkWire Jewelry shop, here's a link to the Rings of Wire
Pink Agate is said to promote love between parent and child. Also said to heal despair and heartache, imparting joy; calming and comforting, easing stress, promotes Unconditional Love for others
Regarding Lepidolite, a customer shared an interesting experience he had wearing a SilkWire Jewelry neckpiece. The short of it is that he noticed a marked spike in his hyperactive behavior on the days he went without his neckpiece that was also combined with Rose Quartz. He told me he was much calmer with the neckpiece on--initially he could care less about the properties when I tried to tell him what was more important was that it had 'swagger' he said lol. Works on all chakras, specifically the Heart and 3rd Eye. Lepidolite is another Lithium-based stone found in the United States, Brazil, Madagascar, Greenland, the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic and on the continent of Africa [sometimes I think folks forget Africa is an entire continent and not a country]. Ranging in shades of pink, purple and violet, Lepidolite also comes in grey tones, white and colorless [I haven't seen these versions]. Keywords are Purification, Serenity, Relaxation, Stress-Relief, Emotional Healing and Balance. Now, who couldn't use a HUGE dose of these properties?
Closing with another quote from Naisha Ahsian, I invite you to explore any or all of these stones and see how they can assist you in your quest for Inner Peace and having your Heart Opened. "Lepidolite is deeply relaxing and is one of the most powerful stones for countering stress, worry, fear, grief and other traumatic emotional frequencies."
Remember to stay tuned for Part II of I Love Heart Stones where I'll riff about the green ones. And in the meantime,
